Member spotlight: Lena's studio, one desk at a time
Lena joined Atrium with a laptop and a side project. Two years on, she runs a three-person design studio from the same floor.
When Lena first walked in, she was not sure she belonged in a coworking space. "I thought it was all for startups with funding," she laughs. "I just needed a desk that was not my kitchen table."
From side project to studio
She started on a flex desk, working evenings around a full-time job. The people she met at the coffee bar became her first clients. Within a year she had gone independent and taken a desk of her own.
Building a team
Today her studio, Field & Form, has three people and a corner by the window. Two of them she met right here on the floor.
Her advice for new members
- Say yes to the coffee — the hallway chats matter
- Start smaller than you think you need
- Ask people what they are working on; most love to share
